In this class, we will use the exciting Time for Kids magazine to get learners reading about and discussing current events! We will read the Time for Kids magazine together in class each week. The magazine will focus on a theme each week and is filled with interesting articles about things that are happening in the world now. Learners will not need a subscription to the magazine.

All learners who would like to read aloud will get a turn to read in class. I will never ask a learner who is uncomfortable reading aloud to do so. Readers of all levels are welcome!

After reading an article, learners will get a chance to discuss the things they learned with their classmates. We will ask questions and share our own experiences with the topic. This will help them to build reading comprehension skills, as well as confidence in sharing their thoughts!  

*Time does not publish new magazines during the summer, so we will review articles from the school year based on the students' interests!
