Students will develop confidence with number sense, skip counting, place values to hundreds, and rounding to tens and hundreds place. They will be prepared to learn and develop additional math skills such as addition, subtraction and multiplication using the skills learned in this course.

I have a Bachelor of Art in K-8 Interdisciplinary Studies. I have worked with students, ages 2 - 18, in multiple different settings including public schools, private daycares, Girl Scouts, and homeschooling my own children from primary school through high school graduation. I have worked in a 6-8th grade building in all core classes including 6-8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geography, Civics, Life Science, and ELA. My job was to pull small groups of students and reteach the concepts that were taught by the in class teacher, but in a easier to understand way for the students that struggled with the concepts. I also worked closely with the teachers to develop class curriculum for both the whole class and for struggling learners. I have over 10 years of experience working with children with both special learning and behavioral needs in a public classroom setting.
