In this ongoing course, the 2nd grade math curriculum based on the Kentucky Academic Standards will be covered. A copy of these standards can be found here: https://www.education.ky.gov/curriculum/standards/kyacadstand/Documents/Second_Grade_Cluster_SMP_Activity.pdf My classes are 100% HANDS-ON. We learn HOW the numbers work. I never teach children to memorize steps for the sake of "this is just the way its done." Students in my class are taught to understand the WHY of how we compute...
