수업 소개
This multi-day class is a great introduction or review to 2D and 3D shapes. Learners will be able to not only identify the shapes but list their properties. For 2D shapes, there will be a focus on triangles and quadrilaterals. Learners will understand how to identify the triangles based on their sides and angles. For quadrilaterals, learners will find commonalities and differences for parallelograms, squares, rectangles, rhombi, trapezoids, etc. During the first session, symmetry will also be reviewed. For 3D shapes, they will be able to identify the shape's faces, edges, and vertices. There is no pre-requisite knowledge required and the classes do not build on each other. Session 1 | Topic - 2D Shapes. Review and identify all shapes from 3-10 sides with a focus on the different types of triangles, quadrilaterals, and symmetry. Session 2 | Topic - 3D Shapes. Review and identify all types of 3D shapes and identify faces, edges, and vertices.

I think the best part of teaching is sharing my knowledge in a variety of subjects and helping students make connections to previous experiences or existing background knowledge.
I am a certified teacher in all core subjects: math, history, science, and language arts (grades K-8 and gifted education). I believe that successful teaching includes building relationships, interest, and engagement with students.
