Students will improve their knowledge of current events including business news, economic events, and new product development.  Important life skills (21st Century skills) that are need to succeed in school and life, will be improved in a fun and engaging way.  Communication, critical thinking and analysis will be used when we review and discuss trending news.

Some topics we will discuss are: AI and how it is being used in education, business, and life; company success and failures, new product innovations in technology, food, sports, and entertainment;  inflation, unemployment, Federal Reserve, and bankruptcy. This is a game and discussion based class so students will gain experience and confidence in discussing their ideas, analyzing information, and developing informed opinions.

I am a certified and tenured Business Education Teacher with expertise in stock market investing and stock analysis.  I have taught over 3000 students on Outschool and have outstanding ratings. This course will be the prefect follow up for my Outschool investment students (Beginner, Level 2 and Level 3 students ) as well as students who are interested in trending news and how it affect them as consumers and investors.  It will help keep students interested and engaged in the stock market. It is also well suited for  students interested in discussing and exploring current events in a focused way.

We will be using financial websites such as yahoo finance and news websites such as CNBC to review company and economic news and headlines. Access to the internet is needed.
