Class topics vary from learner to learner.  I have worked with students 1 or 2 times a week over several weeks to accomplish specific gains in essay writing while building vocabulary, voice, sentence variety, depth of the topic to other lessons on various genres of writing.  I totally enjoy teaching the books I have book clubs on, but in a 1:1 level so the student can really shine and have unlimited discussion time to share and expand their thoughts on the aspects of the novels .  Along the same lines I have classes on editing and revising skill building, figurative language, and more and equally important are those students that I learn with to help with school ELA based HW of every aspect.  So important to me to have a fun learning atmosphere so the learner is glad to be there each session.
