🌟 Welcome to 1:1 Scratch Coding Lessons! 🌟 Dive into the world of coding with our personalized Scratch lessons designed for students at any skill level—beginner, intermediate, or advanced! 🎨✨ 🎯 Class Highlights: What Will Be Taught? Students will create dynamic projects such as games and animations, learning key coding concepts that inspire creativity and logical thinking. 🕹️💡 Topics Covered: Scratch interface and features 🎉 Coding basics: sequencing, loops, and conditionals 🔄 Working with variables and data 🧮 Debugging and problem-solving techniques 🔧 Advanced project creation (for those ready to level up!) 🚀 🎨 Themes: September 30th- October 27th: Puzzles October 28th-November 24th: World Travel November 25th-December 22nd: Obstacle course December 23rd-January 19th: Extreme sports 🗓️ Class Structure: Each session will start with an overview to set the stage, followed by hands-on coding time. Together, we'll work on exciting projects, ensuring students grasp concepts effectively before moving on to new challenges. 📚🤝 💡 Teaching Style: Expect an encouraging and interactive environment! I use a hands-on approach, guiding students through their projects while fostering creativity and independent thinking. 🌈🌟 🕹️ Interactive Learning: Students will actively engage in coding sessions, discussions, and Q&A. We'll incorporate fun games and interactive activities to reinforce learning, and I’ll provide ongoing feedback throughout the process! 🗣️🎮💬 📌 Important Info for Parents: Your student will need: A Scratch account at scratch.mit.edu 🌐 A laptop or desktop with Zoom and screen-sharing enabled 💻 A stable internet connection (3mbps or higher) 🌍 A working speaker, microphone, and webcam 🎤🎥 Windows and Mac systems from the last five years are supported 🖥️ ⚠️ iPads are not recommended. Students will use Scratch to participate in class. Students must access their own Scratch account using a laptop or a computer in class (no smartphone or tablets). Students will use their own account to code while following instructions from the teacher.

At Coco Coders we teach children between the age of 6-14 how to code at our Live Online Clubs and Camps through exciting themed content such as architecture, fashion and conservation to name a few. Depending on age, we teach using a variety of programs and languages including Scratch, JavaScript and CoSpaces.
Coco Coders has been teaching children how to code since 2016 at in-person and live online clubs and camps. We have amazing teachers on-board who are super passionate in helping your child get future ready!
We don't believe in creating a world of little computing scientists but we created a curriculum that allows our students to gain an understanding of computational thinking concepts for whatever career they choose to go into in the future!
