Class Experience
No previous piano experience is required. All ages and levels welcome! Piano lessons are custom-tailored to your musical interest, unique personality, and learning style. You will be able to learn note reading, rhythm, solfege/sight-singing & ear-training, music theory, performance skills, finger flexibility, rhythmic accuracy, the practice of pedal if you are interested. You will need to have a piano or keyboard. During our first lesson, we will determine where to start, depending on your background in music. If you have piano books in your home, we may be able to use them. As a teacher, I have a gentle personality. Some parents of my students told me that I am their children's best adult friend. I love teaching music! Fostering a love for music is my goal. I always remind my students to express themselves through music. If you do not see a time that I can accommodate, please message me, as I can accommodate other times.
Learning Goals
Students will learn: note reading, rhythm, sight-singing & ear-training, music theory, technique, performance skills, finger flexibility, rhythmic accuracy, the practice of pedal, and elements of musical interpretation.

No previous piano experience is required.

I studied in Shanghai Conservatory of Music & affiliated middle school, and have been teaching piano lessons for over 20 years. The youngest student I taught was 3 yo, he continued his studies with me until the summer before he went to college.
