Welcome to my classroom! I love teaching children how to read and can't wait to meet your learner! This is a one-time 30 minute, individualized, learn to read with me and help with reading class, using the Science of Reading methodology. 

All levels are welcome(Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th grade). This class can be a starting point for your little ones learning to read, or help with any reading difficulties. The class is completely individualized and customized to the child's needs and goals. I have extensive experience working with neurodivergent students(ADHD, anxiety, Autism). 

This private class can and may focus on these areas: letter recognition, names and sounds, phonics, phonemic awareness, decoding, fluency, reading, spelling, and writing. The class is taught in a fun and encouraging environment. This encourages and promotes discussions, active listening skills, building and expanding their vocabulary, and enhancing their comprehension and memory. A positive, helpful, and encouraging environment will help your learner thrive on their reading journey.

I have been teaching students to read for 20 years using science of reading base curriculum that uses explicit, systemic systems to help children quickly flourish in their reading journey(UFLI and S.P.I.R.E.). I have also homeschooled my children using wonderful science of reading based homeschool curriculum that I’m happy to utilize as well(The Good & the Beautiful, All about Reading/All about Spelling, Teach your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons, IEW, First Language Lessons, Writing with Ease).
