About the instructor
I come to you with over 15 years of experience in STEM education. I am a certified educator in 6 different States. I hold a Bachelor's Degree of Science with distinguished honors. In addition, I hold a Masters Degree Science Education and Doctorate of Philosophy in Teaching Learning and Culture with a specialization in Science and Mathematics Education. You never stop learning! 
I became a teacher by choice. Teaching young minds has been one of the best things that has happened to me. I love to learn as much as I love to teach!

How long is this session?
This session happens once per week. If more time is needed, more sessions need to be booked. Each session lasts 30 min. 

What will students learn in this course? 
This is a private math tutoring session that focuses on the students’ needs. The topics covered will vary depending on each student. 

How is this class structured?
I teach this class using a gradual release model:  “I do, we do, you do”. 

Greetings and learn about the students’ needs (5 min)
I do: New instruction (10 min)
We do: Interactive Guided practice (20 min)
You do: Check for understanding ( 5 min)

Is Math Tutoring only for struggling students?
Math tutoring is often seeked by struggling students. However, it is very common for advanced students to seek math tutoring too. 

Class assignments
Each lesson is followed by an assignment that will help  students to reinforce the concepts learned during class. All assignments are submitted electronically. Students receive feedback within 24 hrs of each submission. 

Additional Resources
You need three things for this class: a notebook, a scientific calculator, and a pencil. Dr. V. will provide you with access to readings, slide decks, vocabulary lists, and practice problems after each class. 

Other special notes: 
If possible, please send me the material (or even just the topic) where you need help prior to the session. This will make our time together more productive. 
Please be on time. I will wait for 10 minutes before ending a session. No shows are non-refundable.
