The one-to-one tutoring sessions for English Writing will center around each student's individual needs. 

Areas of focus can include but are not limited to: 
-brainstorming/organization of an essay
-the actual writing process in terms of research & paragraph structure
-lessons/support in grammar, punctuation, and mechanics 
-subject-verb agreement, quotation rules, and first-person versus third-person writing 
-revision & proofreading
-MLA/APA formatting
-Works Cited pages or citation rules
-rubric grading & scoring expectations

These sessions will focus on any and all areas that the student wants to improve and help strengthen their writing skills in a multitude of ways. Lesson plans are personalized based upon the student's areas of focus or current assignments. If no writing assignments are currently assigned, the teacher can assign "mock" assignments for further essay writing and development practices. 

Teaching style will also vary upon each student's personal learning styles (I have multiple years of experience teaching students with special needs, or learning disabilities, as well as teaching students in the gifted or exemplary categories). Lessons are always tailored specifically to meet each student's abilities, and information is delivered in a way that they learn best. 

Lessons are discussion and assignment based.
