Class Experience

US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner Level
➕ This class is for learners who currently receive special education services or struggle with specific Reading skills such as letter identification, letter sounds, sounding out words, reading comprehension("wh" questions, sequencing, main idea, etc.).

➕ I have worked with students that are in a life skills setting(self-contained special education) K-12 and worked with students that receive in class support(K-5). I will customize each session based on the learner’s specific Reading skills which may include various hands-on activities using Kahoot and or visuals created for the student.

📈 As the teacher, I will obtain baseline data (short pre-assessment)at the start of the class to measure your learner’s current progress on each goal/skill and continue to track using a custom made data tracker that you will receive at the end of the month via Outschool messaging.

✏ The private one on one class will include engaging activities that pertain to your learner’s Reading skills and change from class to class to keep your learner engaged and generalize his/her skills as they are mastered. This class will typically begin by a fun question or short game and if possible(as long as I receive the specific Reading skills 2 days prior to class), I will list skills/activities that we will cover for the class and let your learner choose which order they want to complete them in. The last 5 minutes will include a fun game to review the Reading skill(s).

✏ Learners do not need required experience.
Learning Goals
