중학교 및 대수 1을 위한 1:1 지속적인 개인 수학 튜터링

Before our sessions begins, I will reach out to see what concept(s) the student needs extra assistance with, and what grade they are in/going to be in. I will create a plan for the day based on grade level and what the student needs to work on. If the student has work assigned that we need to cover, we will work on that first. If there is no work assigned, or when the assigned work is completed, I will provide resources to use for extra practice during the session. For the summer months, we can review any material they need to review in order to start next school year off strong.

Sessions will include: 
 1.) Reviewing previously learned concepts
 2.) Extending learning to more advanced concepts
 3.) Helping with homework/test prep (if any)
 4.) Activities to apply what we've covered

My lessons are well thought out and planned, and I work to deliver them in a way that makes it easy for students to understand. One of my favorite things about teaching is seeing the math confidence of my students grow over time. I work with students who struggle in math, as well as students who are advanced in math and want to better prepare for upcoming classes.

For each session, I will either screen share or use a whiteboard to display problems. Students can use a whiteboard or paper to copy down. I use questioning to help guide students to the answer with their own thinking. 

I have a master's degree in Teaching and Learning and her bachelor’s degree in Middle Level Education with a focus on math education. I have over 12 years experience teaching and tutoring kids in grades 5 through 9. I have experience teaching both standard math classes as well as honors level classes.
