I will assist students with on a task they must finish during this private one-on-one meeting. In each grade, students are provided with an assignment and/or homework that they may need help with. The learner will share their homework/assignment with me and I will encourage the learner to explain to me what they understand of the task. I will also ask the learner to carefully read the instructions because at times, students do not take the time to carefully read the assignment requirements which causes them to stress. I will be explaining what the learner is required to do and provide the learner with suggestions. It is possible that the majority of the assignment will be finished, however, since this is a 30-minute class, the learner will then decide with their parents if they would like an additional class.  

The following topics will be discussed in class: creating a suitable topic phrase, employing appropriate vocabulary, structuring sentences, clear grammar and paragraph use. 

The assignment that the learner brings to me will be the main emphasis of the lesson. The learner will receive extra recommendations on how to enhance their language proficiency based on the assignment. For instance, if the assignment asks the learner to compose a compelling paragraph, I will demonstrate the correct format for such a paragraph and give the learner further examples to help them understand the topic better.  

The 30-minute class is dedicated to the learner so the learner will have the entire time to engage with me and ask me questions regarding their assignment. 

Language Arts tasks are my area of expertise. Students will learn how to properly construct sentences, write paragraphs and essays, and be urged to pay great attention to their grammar usage throughout the lesson. 

The work that the learner shares with me will determine the class's theme. For instance, the class's theme can be related to an animal if the learner has to complete an animal project. Similarly, the theme can be on a specific nature topic or on an automobile. If a learner is required to reflect on a reading that was assigned, then the class will focus on reviewing the reading and completing the assignment based on the reading assigned from school.  

Depending on the assignment that students must do, each class will be unique.
