In this flexible class, students will be learning basic Spanish. This is the flex version of my ongoing class called "Your Very Second Spanish Class". I will post a video each week (approx. 15 minutes) for you and your learner to watch. We will sing songs 🎵 and learn through visuals, repetition, ASL and kinesthetic movements. Through using multiple intelligence strategies, students are engaged and it makes learning fun and more effective. We will make videos of ourselves, do worksheets, play I have.. who has games, play with playdoh, read books, color, do skits and go on scavenger hunts. This a flexible class and there are NO LIVE MEETINGS. I also teach an ongoing live version of this class. Click on my picture to see other class offerings. In this beginner Spanish class your child will learn: Week 1 : Greetings and My name is... Week 2 : More Colors Week 3 : More Numbers 1-15 Week 4 : Daily Routines Week 5 : Grain foods Week 6 : Action words Week 7 : Transportation Week 8 : More Clothing Week 9 : Feelings Week 10 : More Farm animals This class will start off with 40% Spanish and 60% English. Starting off at this ratio will slowly ease their way into learning a foreign language without becoming overwhelmed right away. We will slowly change this ratio as the class progresses. This class does not require your learner to know any Spanish. Learning Spanish will reinforce your child's own language. The best time to learn a foreign language is at this age; their brain is designed for learning language. Learning a foreign language will enhance your child's English skills and will allow them to advance faster in their own language. By the end of the course, your learner will be able to say many words and sentences in Spanish. I look forward to teaching your son or daughter. I hope to see you soon! Hasta pronto!

Hola y bienvenidos! Hello and welcome! I have a Bachelor's degree and am a certified teacher specializing in the Spanish language and culture. I also hold my TESOL certification in ESL.
I have been a teacher for the past 11 years. I first began in a brick and mortar classroom, but now I teach all my classes online. I have been teaching online for the past 5 years and use all kids of techniques to keep my student engaged and interested.
Outside of being a teacher, I am also a huge Disney fan and a certified travel agent specializing in Disney and Universal. I have been to 25 countries and counting. I am a world traveler as you will see in my very immersive lessons. Because I've been to so many countries, I am able to call on my cultural experiences and tie them into every unit.
