TLDR(Too Long Didn't Read): The long and short of it is this: this class teaches kids and parents the sneaky and subtle tactics that predators use to make kids think they care about them, to give up personal information, and to turn kids against their parents. There is no class anywhere that teaches this kind of information. This class will open your child's eyes, and will open your eyes!

This class focuses on the relationship building strategies and techniques online predators use to gain the trust of kids and to trick them. I talk about the emotional needs that kids have that are a result of life events like divorce, in addition to the basic emotional needs that every kid naturally has. For example, kids have a need to be loved and seen by their parents, and they have a need to be respected and taken seriously. Predators take advantage of these emotional needs to win trust, and I outline with examples and real-life stories how predators do this.

Kids think they're too smart to be fooled online, and they don't understand that intelligence has nothing to do with being groomed. It's all about the emotional connections that predators work so hard to build. 

Kids will learn the importance of keeping their personal lives private, and they will learn the reality that there are people who lie so they can hurt children. The internet is a really fun place where kids and adults can learn a lot, and it is my goal to make sure it stays that way for our kids!
