若手ミュージシャン/作曲家社交クラブ

This class is designed to allow young instrumental musicians a space to express themselves musically and create music with other young musicians. Students will have a chance to write their own compositions and have a chance for the class to play each part. This teaches each musician the importance of working with other musicians and learning what it takes to create an original piece they can be proud of. This also teaches musicianship and the importance of listening to one another while playing in an ensemble. The students for the majority of the meetings will take over with their ideas and I will direct them as to what they may need to fix in their piece or direct them in their playing together.
Week of January 13th  - Focus on Musicianship
Week of January 20th - Focus on Music Composition
Week of January 27th - Focus on Musical Genres
Week of February 3rd  - Combine composition and genres
Week of February 10th  - Playing as an ensemble
Week of February 17th - Composing for an ensemble
Week of February 24  - Playing original pieces as an ensemble
Week of March 3rd - Putt finishing touches on original pieces
