Pizza, Pasta Sauce, Pete the Cat, and Pepperoni! Come join this one time cooking class for young chefs. We will begin by reading Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party by Kimberly & James Dean. We will focus on the story elements - characters, setting, problem, solution - while also talking about our favorite pizza toppings and what makes a good party. Then we will make our own individual English muffin pizzas. Parental supervision and help will be need during the construction of the pizza, depending on the age and skill of the learner. The pizza will require the use of an oven or toaster oven. Learners should not use the oven or toaster oven on their own. The recipe calls for mozzarella cheese. Please use a cheese substitute if you learner is allergic to or sensitive to dairy products.

Hello! My name is Liz Deal and I live in Suwanee, GA.
I have been a first grade teacher for 13 years. I received my M.A.T. from Marygrove College in Elementary Literacy and Writing. I have a passion for teaching reading to students. It is a joy to see their love of reading grow! In addition to teaching in the traditional classroom, I have taught English online to over 700 students in the last two years.
