In this 8 week live course, students will learn skills to improve their writing, practice those skills in class, and use new skills to produce works at home to share with classmates. We will read brief excerpts from several childrens' books, such as "Frog and Toad are Friends" by Arnold Lobel, "Little Critter" by Mercer Mayer, "Ralph S. Mouse" by Beverly Cleary, and "The Magic Treehouse" by Mary Pope Osborne. Students may look at books on their own to see how authors used the crafts we learn about to improve their writing.
