Students will improve cursive writing and will develop different styles of writing letters and symbols once they have mastered the basics. Students will learn techniques of typing. Through intensive practice, it is expected that they memorize the keyboard!

Most important, I taught my children to write block and cursive before they entered to formal schooling. I am glad I did so because then I faced the reality that cursive writing instruction was eliminated from the curriculum to give extra time for standardized state test. 

I am a certified teacher in Writing Without Tears with a Master degree in special education. I have five years of experience working with elementary students included teaching writing. I taught my own children cursive writing at a time where was not taught in school to make time to teach to the test. Because omitting cursive writing is not a pedagogic best practice, I taught my self-contained first to fifth students cursive. They all learned and it was documented in their individual education program as one of their goals successfully reached! I also have five years working with intermediate students. Finally, I coursed a bilingual secretary program and worked using my typing abilities for over 16 years. People find interesting that I type without looking at the keyboard! For me it is so natural.
