What will be taught:
The two day class will teach:
Students learn an oral book report is a report that is spoken outloud by the presenter to the audience. 
Students learn oral book report or a presentation is at least three to five minutes long and made up with a brief summary of the book, some comments about the characters and plot, and the presenter's opinion of the book. 
Students will practice and learn how to they can include visual aids in their reports. 
Students also learn not only a oral presentation of a book report can be about their book, but also on informative information.
Students will learn the steps to make a oral book report or presentation. 
Students will use steps to write an outline of what they plan to say, how to use eye contact, visual aids and how to practice their oral presentation. 
Students will learn how to map out their oral report to help the student prepare their presentation.  
Students will learn oral reports will help the student learn how to organize their thoughts and ideas, present them in a sequential order, and to be at ease when speaking to their audience. 
Students will have an assignment due for day 2 to present their oral presentation and discuss their pro's and con's about preparing a oral book report/presentation.
How will the class be taught:
Doc cam, handouts, discussion, engagement, assigned report with instructions to present on day two will be given to help the students practice. 
Great for students who need practice with oral presentations, or have never did an oral book report/presentation. Class also helps students feel more confident speaking in front of an audience.

Students learn oral book reports or presentations can also be presented with visual aids or graphs, drawings etc. to make it more interesting to their audience.

Parental guidance is helpful in case of technical difficulty or help for logging on to the zoom. Students do not need any expensive toys, furnishings or other items. They do need well designed space that is safe for the student to do activities/projects. Parental guidance is necessary incase student needs help with an activity with guidance. Such as gluing, cutting with scissors etc. There are no third party websites that will be used for each week for the lessons or signing in for accounts.
