In this one-time class, students will share what fall/autumn means to them. I am hoping this exercise allows students the chance to reflect on their family traditions and really think about the season and any changes it may bring--whether it's a celebration or just thankfulness for the new season. I am also hoping that students can learn from one another. Not every family celebrates the same holiday or has the same traditions, and it can show students the various values that others have. Additionally, being able to put into writing what something means to them helps a student learn how to communicate clearly and effectively about something that matters to them and their family. My goal is to create a meaningful class where students grow in experience and confidence. I hope that students feel comfortable asking questions, and encouraging one another. Students will have opportunity to ask questions and engage with other students.
