ライターズワークショップ: 句読点の学習 (初級)

In this course, students will dive into one of the essential mechanics of writing, punctuation!  Students will learn about the more complex aspects such as quotation marks, commas, and semi-colons. Through hands-on practice and engaging exercises, they’ll gain a clear understanding of when and how to use these punctuation marks correctly, making their writing more precise and polished. As students improve their grasp of these key writing tools, they’ll develop greater confidence in their ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

The course will meet 2x/week for 9 weeks. If you wish to only enroll for certain topics, please inquire about registering for those specific dates or inquire about starting a separate section with those topics. 

Week of March 16 and May 18: Quotation Marks
Week of March 23 and May 25: Commas
Week of March 30: Apostrophes
Week of April 6: Parenthesis, Brackets, and Braces
Week of April 13 Semi-Colons and Single Quotation Marks
Week of April 20: Colons, Dashes, Ellipsis, and Hyphens
Week of April 27: Period, Exclamation, and Question Marks
Week of May 4: Dashes, Slashes, and Hyphens
Week of May 11: Asterisk and Ampersand
