My name is Amber Johnson, and I am a writing and communication coach. I have nearly 20 years of tutoring experience with students from middle school throughout all levels of post-secondary education. I also have a background as a freelance writer for small businesses, which adds experience in copywriting, technical writing, business writing, marketing, and presentation creation to my skill set. As an academic coach both privately and at a local community college, I specialize in Writing and English, with distinct passions for critical analysis, argumentative essays, college application essays, storytelling, copywriting, and strategic communication. This range of writing experience affords the opportunity to share the practical nature of how effective written communication makes a significant impact not only on academic success, but also in professional careers and personal lives. I love watching students learn and grow in each session we have. It's a personal moment of achievement that we share that lasts beyond that session. My goal is to create "a-ha" moments for each student that propels them to success in all areas of their lives.
