In this ongoing class, students will learn the fundamentals of writing to help develop them into confident writers as they progress through the elementary years. Each week, we will be learning or reviewing a skill, engaging in class discussion, drawing, labeling, and writing. Students will learn what writing is, the purpose, and will engage in a lot of practice as well. We will always start class with a short introduction and share time to build classroom community. After, we will learn and discuss our new topic for the week listed below week by week. We will end class by writing and applying what we have learned in our class together.
