Each class will start with either introductions, questions to get to know each other better, or a review of what was covered in previous weeks. Students will then create artwork inspired by snowflakes, winter landscapes, and snowmen. Not only will we make art about winter, but we will also introduced to the elements of art, paper collage, and other important art concepts. Each lesson will be taught in a directed drawing style to aid those who are not confident in their skills yet. However, the students will be encouraged to make their art unique and personal to them. Week 1: Melted Snowman, paper collage Week 2: Snowflakes, crayon resist with watercolor Week 3: Winter Landscape, mixed media

Week 2: White paper, crayons, watercolor paint, paint brush, cup of water, paper towel Week 3: Colored paper (blue, green, black and white), scissors, glue, black marker White paint and q-tip if time allows for painting.
