In this class, I will teach where the appropriate places are to add commas in writing. We will cover the following topics:
1. Using commas to set off a noun of direct address
2. Using commas to separate adjectives 
3. Using commas to set off explanatory phrases and appositives
4. Using commas to set off interjections
5. Explain what appositives and interjections are

My class will be structured to incorporate many teaching techniques. About half of this class will be lecture style. I will encourage the class to take notes so they can use the lesson in future writing. The other part of the class will be asking questions and incorporating those discussions into my visual aids. After we review when commas should be used, I will show some examples of writing. We will work through those writings to edit them. Then, I will ask the class to write their own sentences that include the proper use of commas. My teaching style is demonstrator because I will demonstrate knowledge, and the learners will be participating in activities. Learners will interact with me through lecture, activities, and discussions.
