大学とは何か？中学生のための入門

In this course, middle school students will be introduced to college. By having an understanding of what college is, knowing how one becomes a competitive applicant at a basic level, and becoming familiar with common college terminology, students can make better decisions regarding their high school years. Middle school is a great time to begin to understand what exactly college is.

This course will cover:
- What is college and what can it do for me?
- What types of college/training are available after high school?
- What are some common terms used to talk about college?
- What can I do now and in high school to become a more competitive applicant?

This course includes a short discussion-based lecture, a Q & A time, and time permitting, examples utilizing public university and college websites.
