We will explore the concept of being yourself as we watch the video version of my book "What About Me?" about how a little brother learns to be his own kind of "cool".  Learners are then invited to do a Venn Diagram about individual and shared interests between themselves and another person.  Learners are encouraged to pursue their own interests and not feel obligated to copy someone else.

 In this lesson, we will view the video version of the book, "What About Me?" and then complete a Venn diagram to show similarities and differences between ourselves and someone else.

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Candice and I love teaching and learning!  After many years of classroom teaching, I've helped hundreds of children learn to love reading and gain confidence in early math.  I've also fallen in love with online teaching and am excited to help even more children using this powerful medium!  I believe in making learning fun and supporting a high level of learner engagement!  
I love writing children's books that teach academic and social concepts using stories that kids can relate to.  I believe in the power of stories to teach content and in hands-on learning to strengthen understanding.
