このクラスで学べること
In this PE class students will warm up, work out and cool down with stretches. They will get encouragement, have fun and get their heart rate up in every class with valuable exercises and stretches. Class will begin with checking in on how they are feeling and if they have any injuries or even certain muscles they would like to work out. This is followed by a heart pumping set of exercises. The Students should feel this is a safe space for them to push themselves in physical education, the teacher is very open to modifying for any student needs or concerns. Students will learn proper form for exercises, with the teacher observing closely so they can avoid injury. Some of the exercises will include: jumping jacks, toe touches, squats, jumps, punches, kicks, dancing etc. Stretches include: plank, side stretches, balancing, hamstring stretch, neck stretches etc. (some yoga-terms will be used including cat/cow and downward dog.) Disclaimer: I am not a certified yoga instructor. Students should have water and a towel and a safe space for movement.

Students will learn the proper and safe ways to exercise, stretch and cool-down stretch when exercising. They will learn specific skills such as jumping jacks, squats and stretches. They will be pushed to break a sweat and hopefully have a little fun too.

Families are allowing their students to voluntarily participate in such physical activities that may (unlikely) result in injury. When registering for class, families are stating that their child is physically healthy to participate in any of the activities in this course.

受講に必要なもの
Good shoes, water and a place to move around freely. A mat or towel for the floor is helpful for sit ups.
