In this 4 week art course, learners will learn how to use watercolor paints and develop their confidence when using them. I am an experienced and certified elementary teacher from the UK, who has designed an entire published art curriculum that is used across schools in England. I also support teacher training courses by delivering training to student teachers about teaching art in their classrooms. In each lesson, I teach from my prepared slides to allow for clear instructions to be shared. I also paint along with the students, modeling how we become artists by trying and persevering. I am passionate that art is not just for those who can draw the more realistic drawing - art is about expression, effort, and intention. Just like learning to read or write, or play sports, developing our art skills is about small steps and practice. It is about exploration and experimentation. Learners will need watercolor paints and watercolor paper. Using standard paper can end in disappointing results when using watercolor paints. They will also need a range of brushes (including small ones) and access to water. The Standard Refund Policy of Outschool is: "Parents receive a full refund if they withdraw from a class of any type within 24 hours of purchase. Note that the 24-hour refund window only applies until the next meeting or lesson access begins.". **Please note that I will refund classes with 7+ days of notice. I hope that this allows you to feel confident in booking classes in the future. I appreciate that plans can change, and will refund with a week's notice. **

受講の前提条件
Learners will need watercolor paints, a range of brushes and watercolor paper. Painting on standard/regular paper can be very disheartening when using watercolor paints. It is crucial that watercolor paper is used.

Watercolor paint palette. An empty palette (or the lid of the paint palette). Watercolor paper. Brushes (including small and thin ones). Sponge (or paper towel/toilet paper). Pencil. Eraser. In lesson 3 they should have a black ball point pen, or pencil.

I'm Ms. Riot, a creative teacher (certified, qualified and experienced) from London, England. My teaching adventure began at university with the completion of my 4-year degree (Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Primary Education) back in 2007.
In the UK, we achieve our QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) through additional exams and proven experience which I also achieved in 2007. My dissertation allowed me to carry out research into how we can motivate young learners to want to read more. I completed one of my student teaching placements in Arizona, USA and I worked as the Literacy Lead for two summers at a not-for-profit camp in New York, USA.
As an elementary classroom teacher, I developed creative classrooms where students felt safe enough to fail. My passion for reading also allowed me to develop a new career as a high school librarian, teaching reading lessons across the school. I have also taught students English up to the age of 16 at a prestigious online school.
More recently, I have worked within the learning department in a large museum, teaching at a range of online schools and designing curriculum for education resource companies. I also deliver lectures to trainee teachers.
At the heart of my teaching philosophy lies a belief that learning should be an adventure, sprinkled with curiosity and laughter. We can be serious about learning without it always being too serious. レビュー
