In these one-on-one classes, your learner will be assisted in their journey through the Sound Innovations Violin Book 1. This class is ideal for learners involved in school orchestra, who are seeking additional personalized support as they establish their violin technique and learn their orchestra repertoire.

While exploring these pieces, we will cover proper violin set up and care, posture and instrument hold, bowing, fingering, tone production, dynamics, and more. Games and finger exercises to support proper hand position will be provided when helpdul. We will work on producing a clear, melodious tone and practice accurate finger placement for good tuning. A variety of bowstrokes will be introduced, including slurs, legato, and staccato. I will meet your learner where they are at, provide personalized practice plans, and make sure our lesson times are both productive and fun!

I will demonstrate all the skills taught on my own violin and the student will be able to demonstrate what they are learning on their violin, as well as ask questions. Thus, the one-on-one classes will require the student’s camera and microphone to be on.
