In this course we will use your favorite video games as a way to hone our creative writing skills. We will get our 'creative juices' flowing by playing a writing game. We will then create a character and setting, and explore how we use that character to advance a plot and develop a theme. This class relies on video games, and some video games do include weapons, war, and other sensitive topics. Incorporating these elements into a story to advance the plot is something I will accept, however I will not allow using these elements just for the sake of using them. I will also ask students who incorporate sensitive elements to give a content warning before sharing, or ask that they only share with me. Any content that is concerning will be passed on to the adult who enrolled the learner.
