このクラスで学べること

英語レベル - 不明
米国の学年 4 - 7
Intermediate - Advanced レベル向け
In this lesson, students will learn what a platformer game is, and how gravity factors into one. Then, they will put that knowledge in action by creating their own platformer game in Scratch. Students will code gravity, jumping, items, and enemies to create their own awesome platformer. This class has been designed for students ages 7-12 with any level of coding experience - all are welcome!

Students will learn:
-How to think like a game designer!
-How to code gravity and jumping
-How to code their character to move with the arrow keys
-How to use conditionals to collect items
-How to use loops to create enemy movement
-More advanced students will use variables to track their score or use costumes to customize the gamer

The class will be highly interactive since we cap our classes at 6 students. The teacher will work with students to create a project they can be proud of while answering questions and providing support along the way.

Coco coders is extremely proud to be a standout organization on Outschool, recognized in 2023 with the Best in Class award for its engaging, high-quality coding classes that cater to young learners worldwide. In addition to its recognition as a top organization on the platform, Coco Coders received awards for its vast reach, including teaching children from numerous countries and for maintaining high engagement through positive feedback and high enrollment across ongoing and semester classes

At Coco Coders we teach children between the age of 6-14 how to code at our Live Online Clubs and Camps through exciting themed content such as architecture, fashion and conservation to name a few. Depending on age, we teach using a variety of programs and languages including Scratch, JavaScript and CoSpaces.

Coco Coders has been teaching children how to code since 2016 at in-person and live online clubs and camps. We have amazing teachers on-board who are super passionate in helping your child get future ready!

We don't believe in creating a world of little computing scientists but we created a curriculum that allows our students to gain an understanding of computational thinking concepts for whatever career they choose to go into in the future!

Fun fact? Our Founder, Elizabeth Tweedale, was recognized in the UK Technology Fast 50: Women in Leadership Awards!
