The iMovie video editor is a powerful tool with fun special features.  In this mini-camp we will focus on the maps and globes hidden inside the iMovie interface.

This course introduces the intermediate editor to a few of iMovie’s lesser used features through a couple of projects designed to:
-Get them familiar with the tools available in the software and the best ways to use them to enhance storytelling.
-Introduce students to different editing strategies.

Class 1. A multi-track edit with maps and titles.
Class 2. A multi-track edit with globes, titles, and color correction.

*** Students should have some experience with the iMovie software. They should know how to download and import files.  The maps and globes are only available in the desktop version of iMovie.  Unfortunately, this feature is not in the mobile version (iPad or iPhone) of the software. iMovie is only available on Mac/Apple computers.

No cameras needed.  Each session we will work through a "project packet" which will include all of the video clips and other resources students will need to complete the project.  All that's needed here is an updated version of iMovie on your computer.

Our goals in this course are to help students gain competence in editing with iMovie.
