Students will learn the basics to write a great paragraph. We will start with a pre-written outline to write a paragraph. Every great paragraph has a topic sentence, strong details, and a conclusion sentence. Descriptive and engaging writing requires strong verbs, vivid adjectives, and expressive adverbs. Students will learn to write a paragraph that is specific, descriptive, and engaging using a variety of strong vocabulary. Students will learn to include a topic sentence, details that support that topic, and a conclusion/clincher sentence that reflects the topic sentences and draws the paragraph to a concise end.
