This camp includes my most popular courses on Outschool to extend over a week of two-hour meetings with a break in the middle. All meetings will include a slide presentation, kahoot quiz, and student interaction. Readings are optional but enrich the learning experience. (there are several such books "The Secret Six," and a "Totally True Adventures" Day 3: The Killing of Lincoln and Chasing John Wilkes Booth + Civil War Overview (In two sessions) Suggested reading: Swanson, James L. Chasing Lincoln's Killer. New York: Scholastic Press, 2009. Day 4: Chasing Jefferson Davis + Reconstruction America (In two sessions) Suggested reading: Swanson, James L. The Lincoln assassination involves his death, and the last meeting involves a plot to steal his remains, but it not presented in an overly graphic way. Parents of sensitive learners should understand this ahead of time.
