想像力を解き放つ：エリシャ先生による毎週のクリエイティブライティングワークショップ

Unleash Your Imagination is an exciting and interactive creative writing workshop. I believe every child can be great at writing if they are given not only the skills, but also the opportunity to develop those skills and their confidence. This class aims to inspire and nurture these emerging writers, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to explore their creativity and develop their writing skills.

In this class, students will embark on a journey of self-expression, storytelling, and literary exploration. Through a variety of engaging activities, writing prompts, and group discussions, students will have the opportunity to practice not only their writing skills, but also to increase their confidence in their abilities. 

Weekly Plan
Week 1 - 6/25/2024: Describe yourself from the inside
Week 2 - 7/9/2024: A massive decision
Week 3 - 7/16/2024: Photo prompt
Week 4 - 7/23/2024: Writers change the world
Week 5 - 7/30/2024: Greatest Accomplishments
Week 6 - 8/6/2024: Describe the art

Each class will be broken down as follows (approximately): 

0:05 - Welcome & Introduction to activity/prompt
0:05-0:30 - Writing Time
0:30-0:50 - Sharing Time

During sharing time, students will have the chance to showcase their work and to hear others' work. This gives learners the opportunity to get other perspectives on the same activity, as well as to gain confidence from sharing their work and perspectives with their peers. Everyone will have (and is encouraged to have) different ideas and opinions. All perspectives will be honored and accepted. 

Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to explore different genres of writing, such as fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. They will be encouraged to experiment with different writing styles and techniques, allowing them to discover their own voice and develop their individual writing strengths.

I feel that children should be encouraged to follow their passions. Children need to know that they can have what they want for their lives if they have the correct tools and motivation to get there. I hope to help build confidence in my students and to give them some of those tools. I also believe that not every child learns the same way. Education is not a one-size-fits-all experience. I look forward to helping your child learn how they learn.

While I offer an extensive collection of class content choices, my specialty is meeting students where they’re at and making the course material accessible to all students, regardless of the topic. I love to be silly with my students and encourage interaction in all of my classes. I want learners to feel at ease and safe to be themselves in my classroom. My small class sizes and relaxed, encouraging teaching style allow me to tailor my classes to each student’s needs and learning style, resulting in learners walking away from class confident and smiling.
