In this ongoing class, students will learn about the states throughout the U.S by playing different interactive games each week. 

Interactive games are a great way to get students engaged in the topic. I will teach each state's capital, its famous landmarks, the state's flag, bird, flower, name abbreviation, historical landmarks found in that state, and much more.
 
I will begin each class by sharing facts about two different states while the students try and figure out which state I am talking about based on the facts given. Once they figure out which state I am talking about I will share a few interesting facts about that state. Afterward, we will continue by playing a game to reinforce the information we learned, along with facts on other U.S states. Some of the games we will play are Guess the state, State Jeperody, States Showdown, bingo, and more. 

Each week students will also earn postcards (pdf form) for the states they learned.

I have traveled extensively around the U.S with my two children for the past 5 1/2 years visiting 48 U.S States and many National Parks. I can't wait to travel virtually and share what I have learned along my way with you.
