This class is a introductory look at the concepts of malware and viruses. We will walk through the concepts of what malware is, how it works, and how you can protect yourself by practicing "safe computing". 

Concepts explored:
What is a virus
What can viruses do
What is malware
What is phishing
How do these things spread
How  to detect and remove
How to prevent attacks
Discussion of anti-virus protection options
How do viruses affect different systems

Class will be a combination of "interactive whiteboarding" and hands on computer time. Please understand that it is not possible to actually diagnose problems inside the hour of this class, BUT the student will be equipped with knowledge and skills to do so after class.
