タイピング - キーボード入力 - タイピング力の向上 (継続中) (週 1 回) 13 ～ 17 歳

In this weekly  Touch-Typing Tutoring keyboarding class, students will continue to enhance their touch typing skills while improving their typing accuracy and speed.  They will have the opportunity to socialize and collaborate with others.

🚩REQUIRED🚩  - It is REQUIRED that students attend the beginner level typing class before enrolling in the ongoing course. Learners may be removed from the ongoing class, if they have not completed the beginner level course or have had a previous typing class with us. Please send a message if you have any questions. Typing - Keyboarding - Learn to Type or Improve Your Typing 

A comprehensive range of curriculum prepares your students with essential skills for school and their future. Engaging content includes Typing Lessons, Typing Tests, and Typing Games, as well as Career Skills, Coding, and fundamental Digital Literacy modules. 

Students will be able to choose lessons that are tailored to their interest and skill level.  We will learn type, improve our typing and play typing games with our classmates.  
Certificates of Completion will be available to print for each completed level.  

Weekly Topics / Lesson will be on a rotating basis each week will have a different topic and lesson.  These lessons are independent of each and do not build on one another to offer the students flexibility of which lesson they would like to attend. 1st Week of Each Month - Lesson 1 - Importance of proper keyboarding techniques
   ◾   Finger Positioning
   ◾   Posture
   ◾   Keystrokes
   ◾   Individualized Learner Lesson 

2nd Week of Each Month  - Lesson 2 - How clean is your keyboard - How to properly maintain your keyboard
 ◾   Proper care of the keyboard
 ◾   What happens when the keyboard is damaged
 ◾   Why is important to maintain a working keyboard.
 ◾   Individualized Learner Lesson 

3rd Week of the Month -  Lesson 3 - Discussion Benefits of Typing Skills 
  ◾   Benefits of Typing Skills
  ◾   Discuss way students will use typing in Education and Careers
  ◾   Discuss the Importance of Typing for Coding
  ◾   Individualized Learner Lesson 

4th week of the month - Lesson 4 -  Keyboard accuracy and speed / Typing Game Challenge
   ◾   Practice Hand & Eye Coornidation with the Typing Games
   ◾   Individualized Learner Lesson 

Typing lessons can customized based on grade level.  Please let us know if indicate if you would like for your learner to be assigned a specific grade level lesson.

Topics and Skills Avaialable:
Beginner Level - Home Row keys, top row, bottom row keys and practice sentences.  
Intermediate Level - Common English Words, Easy Home row words, Easy top row words, Easy Bottom Row Words, On to Sentences with capitalization, punctuation, sentences, and short paragraphs
Advanced Level - Skills Builder, Accuracy Focus, Numbers, Letters, Advanced Symbols, Numeric Keypad
Computer Basics - Parts of a computer, What makes a computer run, using a mouse, computer lab rules.
Internet Basics - Surfing safety, cyber safety, online behavior, Email rules and Manners and Internet Search tips. 

Technology has improved our lives in many ways.  Students began using technology at a young age, unfortunately bad keyboarding habits develop during those times.  It is crucial that students learn to type the correct way early, to avoid repeating bad keyboarding habits.  It takes a lot of practice to learn to type.  Everyone learns to type at their own unique pace and speed.  Not all students will be on the exact same lesson during class. This is live class but it is individual student paced class.
