EXPERIENCE A REAL, PERSONAL AUTHOR VISIT! Most homeschoolers, and even many school students today, haven't experienced a book author visit—and now they can! Join me, author Meeg Pincus, for an engaging read-aloud & chat about my newest nonfiction picture book THE CRANE AND THE KEEPER. I'll introduce the book, read it aloud, then chat with learners about: - its topic (endangered wildlife & animal imprinting) - why & how I wrote it (including working with real wildlife scientists!) - how it was illustrated & published - learners' questions My approach is warm & welcoming—and this session can count as both ELA & STEM! THE CRANE AND THE KEEPER follows the story of an endangered crane who is imprinted on humans and needs help (from a very patient keeper) to save her species. Published by Candlewick and Smithsonian Kids in 2025, this book has already received a starred review from School Library Journal and has been chosen as a Junior Library Guild Selection.
