This class will delve into weather forecasting with a distinct focus on tropical meteorology. This will be an interactive course that will use real-world forecasting products such as surface charts, graphical model data, radar, surface observations, and satellite products to forecast weather. There will be hands on streamlining, analysis, and forecasting techniques taught. There will be use of real-world weather tools such as Windy.com, WeatherTap, National Hurricane Center products, and other resources to learn about tropical meteorology.  It will be a fun and engaging way to learn about weather forecasting. The desire of the teacher is to engage the student with questions and dialogue to help them further learn the material and answer questions. There will be hands-on interaction in this class. There may be assigned homework based on the overall learning objective for the class. The teaching style will be using interactive tools and verbal instruction, questions will be asked, and practical hands-on learning. No additional materials are needed for this class other than what the teacher has provided in the class.
