This will usually include a few songs and exercises to practice, along with some specific notes on what to focus on. Learners will progress at different paces based on how often they practice. We typically recommend practicing 3-4 times a week, for 10 minutes a day for kids 8 and under, and 20 minutes a day for kids 9+. This class will go over the basics of playing bass guitar, including talking about what a bass guitar looks like, good posture, and navigating the fretboard and strings. There will also be a time to ask any questions about what repeated lessons would look like. If you choose to sign up for repeated lessons, here are some details on our teaching method! In these one-on-one lessons, scheduled weekly or biweekly, our expert teachers will guide your child in mastering the electric bass guitar. We’ll start with the fundamentals of music theory and progressively build skills until they can confidently play basslines across various genres! We make learning fun by incorporating songs, music theory activities, and engaging exercises. While we use a structured bass curriculum as a foundation, we also tailor lessons to your learner’s musical interests—whether it’s rock, pop, jazz, funk, blues, or even composing their own basslines! Topics Covered: 🎵 Rhythm & Groove 🎵 Note Recognition & Reading 🎵 Tablature & Chord Charts 🎵 Finger & Picking Techniques 🎵 Bass Line Construction & Improvisation 🎵 Chord Theory & Walking Bass Lines 🎵 Composing & Songwriting These private 1:1 lessons are designed to be engaging, supportive, and personalized.
