In this class, learners will be immersed in a tranquil experience of guided meditation while we will cover many topics of social and emotional learning and mindfulness. Topics will include emotions, self esteem, anti-bullying, empathy, respect, kindness, gratitude, confidence, self regulation, conflict resolution and so much more. We start every class by introducing ourselves. Then learners are welcome to get comfortable in whatever way works best for them. They can sit or lie down, dim lights, and close their eyes. 教師の専門知識と資格
Hello, my name is Ms. Sam and I'm so glad you're here.
As a dedicated lifelong learner, I have always strived to continue learning, especially when it comes to social and emotional skills, mindfulness, growth mindset and creative expression. I have been a homeschool mom for 6 years and have been working with other homeschool children ages 3 to 9 for the past 4 years. My goal is to make class fun and engaging while encouraging students to use their imaginations and get creative.
I teach classes covering a wide range of SEL & Mindfulness topics. Ongoing classes do not build upon each other, and learners can jump into them at any time. Topics include but are not limited to -
Self-Awareness: Emotion identification, confidence, calm down techniques, growth mindset, self-esteem
Social Awareness: Empathy, kindness, listening skills, inclusion, communication
Self-Management: Emotional regulation, coping skills, accountability
Relationship Skills: Setting healthy boundaries, conflict resolution, gratitude, cooperation, responsible decision making.
Mindfulness: Meditation, mindful breathing, grounding, relaxation, intentions, positive affirmations
I feel it is deeply important to continue to learn about yourself and to grow as a person, and I am a firm believer that equipping children with these skills will give them the building blocks to become confident, kind and successful adults.
