Hello!

Thank you for your interest in this class!  This class meets twice in one week!  

Schedule:

Day 1:
On the first day of class, we will learn how to add and subtract fractions with common denominators! We will add fractions and mixed numbers! I will model each step!
 
Day 2:
On the second day of class, we will learn how to add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators! I will model how to create equivalent fractions with common denominators, and then add!

Class experience:
To begin class each day, we will start with a brief time for students to introduce themselves and to share something about their week! Then, we will begin learning our new math skill!  I will explain an example while students write notes!  Next, students will have an opportunity to solve questions independently, with their pencil and paper or with the zoom white board! Last, we will discuss and review their answers! 

I teach in a patient and engaging manner; students will feel confident learning math skills!  

I will provide homework by posting 3 questions in the classroom after each class! Students are invited to write down the homework questions and bring it to the next class time! The homework is an opportunity for students to practice their skills, but it is not required and students are welcome to attend class without it!

This class is the fifth week of a full curriculum class for third grade math students! (If you would like to enroll in this class but have not completed the previous weeks, please let me know and we can schedule a class to review fractions, multiplication and division!)
