Students will practice discussion and listening skills while focusing on different social skills topics. Each session will begin with an ice breaker so everyone can get to know each other a bit. Then we will dive into a social skills topic for the day. Students will participate in a mini lesson on the topic with a slideshow and then work on an activity in breakout rooms. The students will then join back together as a whole and share their work. We will end each session with a short game to help students wind down after an awesome learning session. Topics: 3/5/25: Empathy 3/12/25: Communication 3/19/25: Conflict resolution 3/26/25: Cooperation 4/2/25: Positivity *week off* 4/16/25: Making new friends 4/23/25: Respecting others
