This course is perfect for the more mature beginner, intermediate or advanced pianist who wants to take their playing to the next level while playing music that they love! This course can be either one-on-one lessons or a group class. Please feel free to specify which kind of class you would prefer and also request any time for scheduling, I will be happy to accommodate! My lessons are all about meeting the students where they are, and tailoring their study to best fit their learning style and goals. As a teacher, I focus on the vital fundamentals of piano technique (finger strength and independence, efficient movement over the keyboard in jumps, clear beautiful tone, pedal technique, etc) that can be applied to all repertoire as well as freedom of movement in playing. I believe strongly in healthy and happy music-making and strive to help students play with as much natural ease as possible. I will be able to guide each student step-by-step, building continuously on a firm technical foundation, to help their musicality and expression bloom. Lessons will include practice expectations for each week (both warm-up exercises/etudes and repertoire) and I will also be happy to send a video of myself playing the music each student is working on for each week as a reference. I am always positive and encouraging in my approach, and I work hard to help each student gain as much as they can from classes as possible. My expectation is for each student to be open-minded to learning, focused during the class period, and diligent in their weekly preparation. Can’t wait to meet everyone and start this exciting musical journey together :)

I am thrilled to be here and to share the joy of music-making!
I am a professional violinist and pianist, and I hold multiple music performance degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. In my career, I have performed in multiple competitions, international music festivals, and solo recitals on both instruments.
I am a graduate of The Orchestra Now program in New York, where I performed concerts in venues across the state, including Carnegie Hall and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. I have also performed as artist with Lincoln Center Stage and performed concerts in over 25 countries.

My goal as a music teacher is to inspire and bring out the best in each student, by addressing concepts clearly and efficiently, while also tailoring lessons to each student’s individual needs and learning styles.
I want to teach in a way that is always fun and inspiring for each student!
In the courses I am offering, I cover a wide spectrum of core music-making concepts that suit a wide range of levels. I also address the specifics of the violin and piano, so that mastery of the instrument can be built up step by step, in an organized and direct approach. Unique to my own style of teaching is the emphasis I put on efficient, ergonomic, and natural body movement in playing an instrument, which was informed by years of study in the Alexander Technique. Through freedom of movement and strong habits of awareness, the act of playing music can be even more enjoyable, fun, and inspiring!!
Some fun facts:
I am a lifelong learner, which currently manifests in studying languages, chess, and cooking! Food, especially anything involving noodles, is one of my most favorite things!
