What’s your favorite book? Have you ever seen the movie? Why do you think you are drawn to it? There’s actually research out there that says that when we watch our favorite movie or read our favorite book, we become involved with the characters. We root for the good guys, feel the pain and anguish of the bad guys and relate the story to our own lives. Students will be able to review and analyze films and literature for content, context, relatability and characterization/character portrayal.
I am offering this class as a means to further explore digital media as a means of expression and to connect movies and literature, to life! I have experience with all ages and a variety of learning needs. I believe connecting learning to life is key to generating understanding of abstract concepts.
