The study guide can be printed before starting the class and submitted for grading and feedback. This class covers spelling rules for medical terms as well as word parts (prefixes, suffixes and roots). We will also begin to build our “word bank” in medical terminology. Identifying Word Parts
We will learn how to “decode” a medical term by identifying the parts of the word. This lesson includes a 6 minute video. During the video, learners will be answering questions using the study guide. We will go over 4 spelling rules used frequently in medical terminology. Learners will apply these rules to different word parts in order to build medical terms and work on pronunciation. Building Your Word Bank
